• Pros and cons from a common man perspective.

Apple announced its mixed reality (AR, VR) headset that works with hand, eye, and voice coordinates, and gestures, at WWDC 2023 event.

• What are the Pros/Cons of the Apple's Vision Pro.

• The Vision pro will be out for masses next year.

Pros:

• Vision Pro uses techs like Camera, Sensors, algorithms, programmes to control and manipulate the AR/VR environment, which gives it an advantage over other VR headsets.

• The Vision pro is a computer itself, and runs independently on its own OS called visionOS.

•  It has two unique chipset powering it, one is Apple's flagship M2 chip, and another one is R1 (the latest entry.)

•  Custom micro‑OLED display system, which features 23 million pixels, delivering stunning resolution and colours.

•  The headset makes use of AR and VR to the best of what we've seen so far with projecting the displayed element alongside with the real world objects like furniture, walls etc.

• Apple's Optic ID security system, a secure authentication system that uses the uniqueness of your iris.

Cons:

• Whooping price tag $3,499.

•  Lagging behind the competition due to being first generation product, with no third party apps onboard (as of, time of writing this piece.)

• No haptic feedback, like Meta's Oculus Quest 2.

• The heaviness of the Vision Pro (due to no plastic body, but a metal and glass one)

• No inbuilt battery pack, and only 30 minutes of battery life (according to some news sources online.)
