Reliance Industries tops Indian companies in Global 2000 ranking by Forbes in 2023.

A total of 55 Indian companies are among the companies given space in the “Forbes Global 2000” a ranking list by Forbes which is a global media company, focusing on business, investing, technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and lifestyle.

The list consists of the world’s largest 2000 companies financial data for current year, and information such as company name, profits, assets, valuation etc are part. These companies are the most profit generating and successful among other companies worldwide.

Some of the top Indian companies made it into “Forbes Global 2000” for 2023:

Among these top Indian companies there is Mukesh Ambani's “Reliance Industries” at the top with a global ranking of 45th place, with overall 2023 Revenue of $109.4B and total Assets valued at, $208.5B, Reliance Ind. has yielded $8.3B in profits, according to Forbes.

Indian Banks like State Bank of India (at 77th place), HDFC Bank at 128th place, ICICI at 163rd place, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Union Bank Of India, IndusInd Bank, Punjab National Bank, Indian Bank, Bank of India, IDBI Bank, Central Bank of India, Yes Bank, has made into the list.

Indian automobile giants like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto are in the list as well.

Other Indian companies: Life Insurance Corp. (LIC) of India, Tata Consultancy Services, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta Limited, Bajaj Fin., Tata, ITC, HCL Technologies, Power Finance, Wipro, JSW Steel, Adani Enterprises, GAIL India, Indian Railway Finance, Rajesh Exports, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, Titan (India), Avenue Supermarts, Steel Authority of India, General Insurance Corporation Of India, are some other Indian companies who made into the list.

Energy industry companies like Oil & Natural Gas, Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil, Power Grid of India, Coal India, Adani Power Limited have made into the Global 2000 list as well.

Reliance Industries performs well since last year:

The 2022 ranking showed the Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries at 53rd place, but this year the company jumped 8 place and made it to 45th position worldwide, all thanks to its business model success in recent years in the India.

Reliance Ind. operates in sectors like telecommunications, petroleum refining and marketing, retail, Oil and Gas, Digital services etc.

Reliance Group was founded by Dhirubhai Ambani, father of Mukesh Ambani. Dhirubhai started off the business in the 1950s, and its fortune were turned with its entry in textiles in the 1960s, and then later by entering the petrochemical sector in the 1980s, where the company really took off.
